Of all the things to mis-spell...

The flatmate is often to be found engaged in building a website at the moment. He's now qualified as a Neuro-Linguistic Programmer and therefore needs a site to launch his wares upon the local populace.

I went and cast an eye over it last night to say what I thought the likelihood would be of positioning things the way he wants.

"Very nice," I said. "Just one thing, though."

"What?"

"You've spelled dyslexia wrong."

I should get a job as a proof-reader I really should.

Unless it's deliberate (which I think it may be, but I'll bite all the same), you've misspelt "cast", as in "I went and cast an eye over it last night".

Proof-reader, proof thyself...

It is one of the inevitabilities of life that if you make any comment about spelling you're likely to mis-spell something yourself.

So no, it wasn't. But at least it was a word, unlike what Chris managed to come up with. His at least, however, was funny.

That said, you can't proof your own work. That's why you need other people.

Us proof readers relish in that kind of stuff!

Why is dyslexia so hard to spell?

And why is abbreviation such a long word?
